Introducing GTI Telecom’s new President: Ramon NC. Aesquivel, Jr.

We are pleased to announce appointment of Mr. Ramon NC. Aesquivel, Jr. as GTI Telecom’s new President, effective immediately. He is given the responsibility of leading the overall direction and execution of the organization’s business strategy and operations.

Mr. Aesquivel brings decades of experience to the company and has a proven record of taking telecommunications companies like GTI Telecom to the next level.

Prior to joining GTI Telecom, Mr. Aesquivel held senior executive roles as General Manager of Eastern Telecoms Philippines Inc., and Vega Telecom and as Chief Operating Officer of Bayantel – all as Globe secondee. At Globe, he was Vice President of Customer Operations for its Broadband Business and was also Head for Network Services. Prior to Globe, he also had stints with Isla Commmunication (Islacom) as VP for Network Management and Operations, with Bayantel as Assistant Vice President for Network Management and Operations and Carrier Relations and with PLDT as a Supervisor for the Traffic Administration Department.

But beyond all that, it’s his personality and humanity that really makes him a great fit for GTI Telecom. He is a great listener and a great communicator. He understands that GTI Telecom is a unique organization, with its own strengths and challenges, and really embraces that difference. He’s ready to take on the challenge to lead GTI Telecom and do more with what we’ve built.

Mr. Aesquivel’s appointment is a clear reflection of GTI Telecom’s current state: ready to take on the future. The company is poised for a major expansion in the area of Data Services and we’re all excited of what his leadership and experience can do for us.

Mr. Aesquivel has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, an M.B.A. from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. He has also attended several executive and professional development certificate programs at the Singapore Management University (SMU) and at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM).
